About SciMaTEC

The mission of SciMaTEC at The University of Toledo is to serve and support education in science, mathematics and technology for people of all ages. SciMaTEC's purpose is to develop the expertise of educators, to increase public understanding of those subjects and to stimulate interest of young people in these rewarding fields of study. The center encourages participation by minorities, low income families and females who are underrepresented in the scientific community. SciMaTEC, a partner in the Northwest Ohio Regional Center of Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education, is linked to other science centers as well as local, state and national projects in science, mathematics and technology.
