3rd Annual Future Teacher Conference
|
| This year SciMaTEC will be sponsoring the 3rd Annual Future Teacher
Conference (FTC). The conference is being held on Saturday, March
19 at the Clarion Hotel (Westgate). The conference was initially started
to provide an opportunity for current educators to present their triumphs
and struggles in the classroom and share tips on how to be an effective
teacher to future teachers.
This year the FTC committee anticipates upwards of 175 students ranging from freshmen to graduate students. All education students from University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Owens Community College, and Lourdes College are welcome to attend. Some new sessions added to the conference this year focus on science and math technology, foreign language, and special education. In addition, all University of Toledo education organizations will have informational tables displayed along with local education vendors and businesses. Registration must be completed by March 11 and has a $15 fee which helps to subsidize the cost of food and materials. Lunch will be provided. Click here to download the brochure/registration form.
